Join us for this exploration of the musical and cultural developments that led to the emergence of a Romantic musical style in the late-18th to early-19th centuries. We will discuss how the innovations of composers such as Bach and Mozart, combined with the rise of "Storm and Stress" in literature, and theories about the "Sublime and Beautiful" in philosophy, paved the way for the revolutionary musical achievements of Beethoven, Schubert and others.
