A vibrant senior’s centre in a stunning location

Brock House Society is a seniors activity centre serving Vancouver, BC., operating out of a sensational heritage building at Jericho Beach.

We offer a variety of high-quality programs, events and activities to our members, including health & fitness, games, lectures, music, art, social events. Members also have access to our library, cafeteria, pottery kiln and woodworking shop.

History of our heritage building

Philip Gilman, a mining engineer from England, purchased the waterfront lots in 1906 and 1909, making his estate two and a half acres with over 300 feet of sandy beach waterfront. He engaged the noted architect, Samuel Maclure to design the house and contracted construction to the firm of Coffin & McLelland.

Consider becoming a member

Membership fees are $95 per year for a calendar year. We have 4 types of memberships.

Annual Membership: For seniors 55+.
Annual Under 55 Membership: For those who would like to join but have not reached the age of 55.
Annual Subsidized Membership: If you receive a Guaranteed Income Supplement, you qualify for a subsidized membership. Please bring confirmation of the GIS to Administration office to register or renew.
Life Membership: Please contact the office to discuss the opportunity of becoming a Life Member.
