Mondays to Fridays: 9:00am to 3:30pm.

For members only.

The Brock House Library Committee invites you to come into the library to browse our shelves and discover all the treasures in our collection. If you have paperback books that you no longer want, please donate them to the library.

Please return any outstanding books to the library and sign them in.

Book Donations

Please note we do not take more than 10 books at one time, delivered in person to the library. Paperbacks are preferred. We ONLY accept:

• fiction (preferably no more than 5 years since publication)
• mysteries (preferably no more than 5 years since publication)
• non-fiction (biographies and history only).

Book of the Week

This week the Brock library is pleased to showcase a recent addition to our non-fiction collection.  Big Lonely Doug by Harley Rustad. 

On a cool morning in the winter of 2013, a logger named Dennis Cronin was walking through a stand of old-growth forest near Port Renfrew on Vancouver Island. He came across a massive Douglas fir the height of a twenty-storey building. Instead of allowing the tree to be felled, he tied a ribbon around the trunk, bearing the words "Leave Tree". The forest was cut but the tree was saved. The solitary Douglas fir, soon known as Big Lonely Doug, controversially became the symbol of environmental activists and their fight to protect the region's dwindling old-growth forests.
