Performance: "Christmas Chronicles and Customs". Sponsored by the George Halpern Trust -- CANCELED
Actors Anna Hagen and Bernard Cuffling tell tales of productions they have been involved in over the years, and personal Christmases good and bad. They will read letters to Santa and look at customs observed and food served in Canada and around the world. Guaranteed to invoke the Christmas Spirit!"
Renouned Vancouver actor Bernard Cuffling, who describes himself as a Canadian actor with a British accent, shares memories, tales and favourite excerpts from his many years in the local theatre including shows like “A Christmas Carol” at Carousel and five years playing Clarence the Angel who gets his wings, in the Arts Club’s production of “It’s a Wonderful Life.” These and many other stories that reflect on the history and customs of Christmas will help set the scene for the festive season.
A veteran actor for over 50 years, Anna has worked at Stratford Festival, Shaw Festival, and the Citadel Theatre. Some of her many favourites include “As You Like it,” “The Music Man,” “A Man for All Seasons,” and “Three Tall Women.” She was Artistic Director for Western Gold Theatre for 12 years and still directs for this wonderful company.
