This series is designed to get your health back on track with low impact Pilates exercises to tone, connect and release tension. Instructor: Hanne Vieira. (Further course details below.)

Get to know your instructor:
My name is Hanne Vieira, and I have been a yoga student and teacher for over a decade. Throughout my life, I have studied various forms of movement dance, capoeira, yoga, pilates and tensegrity. I graduated with 220hrs from kundalini yoga teacher training in Vancouver and mat pilates from Physical Mind Institute. I have 19 years of teaching experience and over 500 hrs in training. I have acquired extensive knowledge and certifications in Tantric Hatha Yoga in Brazil, Yin Yoga, Vijnana Yoga and Tensegrity at the Path Center in Vancouver, Canada. I am also a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (CSNN) and Holistic Massage Therapist (Expansao Terapia Integrada- Brazil). Additionally, I worked as a certified doula in Vancouver for seven years. Currently, I teach at UBC and independently via zoom or private sessions. My classes are focused on alignment, proper form, connection and uncovering your natural strength and mobility. You can expect to smile, sweat and leave your mat feeling lighter than when you arrived."
What to expect:
We will use an elastic band to build strength, improve posture and learn stabilization to prevent injuries and body pains. All levels welcome.
Pilates increases mobility, flexibility and helps building bone density. It is the best rehabilitation program to keep you feeling strong and invigorated.
Participants will learn to use their inner resistance to build strength; stabilize their bodies and move within a healthy range of motion.
Learn to release aches and pains through gentle exercises and stretching using somatic principals.
Through teaching the Pilates method, students will learn the fundamentals to optimize posture, endurance and balance. They will learn to better engage their muscles during any activity such as walking, climbing, sitting.
(10 min gentle warm-up, 40 min exercises, 10 min stretch and release).
