Esther Birney Lecture: Eva Sajoo (SFU) – “Earle Birney’s Poem ‘Vancouver Lights’”

A discussion on why the poem remains more relevant than ever.

Eva Sajoo is an academic connected to Simon Fraser University. Her research interests include diaspora communities, religious identities, and education. Past work includes research projects "Being Ethnic" on third generation Italians in Vancouver, and "Being Canadian", a study of how people understand their identities in the context of citizenship. She has taught courses on literature and history in the SFU Continuing Studies Program.
