Join John Mitchell for a 6-week look at 60’s music. It was a decade of cultural and societal revolution, changes that have reverberated to the present day, and the soundtrack of that decade is the seed of so much of the music that followed. (See full description below.)

When looking at the music of the 60s, we’ll pose the question “Does art in the form of music change society or does it merely reflect the times”. Was it just because the largest demographic, the Baby Boomers, lived it and loved it, or was it truly great music? We'll go back and take a closer look. From the post-War 50s we’ll look at the dramatic changes that took place in the world and in the world of music; Rock and Roll, The British Invasion, Psychedelics, Hippies, Assassinations, Pop festivals, Protests, the Civil Rights movement, the Ant-War movement and the changes in styles and attitudes.
