In this 4-week course, Dr. Gabrielle Steinberg will talk about the teachings and practices of Traditional Chinese Medicine to support the body, mind and spirit. (See full description below.)

Week 1 - Health care through the seasons

The teachings and practices of Chinese Medicine support the body, mind and spirit in the midst of change.   Chinese Medicine proposes that we will feel our best if we live according to the seasons. Discover self care tips on how you can support your health through the changes of the seasons.

Week 2 - Health care through the life cycles- 2nd half of life

TCM encompasses a variety of preventative techniques that help make the aging process easier and even slow down. These include manual therapies, such as acupuncture and massage; Chinese herbal medicine; and exercises like tai chi and qi gong, whose gentle movements and low physical impact are ideal to stay limber and energized. Learn more about this as well as tips and diet ideas to help you maintain good health.

Week 3 - What is energy healing, how is it used in Eastern medicine?

Energy healing is a holistic practice that activates the body's subtle energy systems to remove blocks. By breaking through these energetic blocks, the body's inherent ability to heal itself is stimulated.  There are many systems that work with the body’s and the environments energy to promote health. Why would one choose acupuncture or other energy based medicines for wellness?  Find   out more about what acupuncture can treat.

Week 4 - Key things that Chinese medicine help with and why.

From prevention to a cure, Chinese medicine works by seeking to balance the body’s systems and treating the root of dis-ease.  There are many things it is good at treating, find out about some of the key areas it excels in.

 

About Dr. Gabrielle Steinberg:

Dr. Gabrielle Steinberg has been working in health and wellness for over 20 years. She is a Doctor of Chinese medicine, Registered Acupuncturist, Holistic Nutritionist and Craniosacral Therapist.


Inspired to support people in their innate capacities to heal, she has studied a wide range of therapies in order to provide very comprehensive, holistic and supportive treatments.

To complement the treatments, and always keeping in mind a person’s lifestyle, personal needs and constitution, food and lifestyle advice is given in an approachable and easily integrated way.


Gabrielle enjoys working with people of all ages with the goal of enhancing their performance in daily life - whether it be in sports settings or day to day activities.
