Memory Collective - BHS Convenor Presentation
About this event
The Memory Collective is a year-long partnership between UBC and Brock House Society that will help create a more dementia-inclusive community by building knowledge, supporting volunteers, and strengthening existing programs.
Convenors are strongly encouraged to attend this session as we implement this initiative across all programming.
• Learn practical dementia-inclusive approaches for Brock House programs.
• Help co-create the Memory Collective Café and integrate inclusive ideas into existing programs.
• Recognize and actively counter dementia-related stigma.
• Support members living with dementia, cognitive challenges, and their care partners.
• Connect Brock House with successful dementia-inclusive practices from other community organizations.
In the months ahead, there will be additional training to support the implementation of this initiative.
