Oktoberfest began in Munich, Germany in 1810 as a celebration of the royal wedding of Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese. What started as a local festival has grown into the world's largest folk festival, celebrated each year with traditional food, lively music, dancing, and, of course, German beer. While the wedding was in October, they quickly moved the event to September because the weather was better. It has been September ever since but they have never changed the name.

Join fellow Brock House members as we celebrate this beloved tradition with an afternoon of music, community, and fun, featuring Retro Euro—a lively ensemble with drums, accordion, guitar, keyboard, and vocals. Save the date, and look for more details in a Friday Update closer to the event.

Cancellation Policy:

Please read the Brock House Society refund policy prior to registering for activities (courses, events, tours) that have a fee.

- There is a $15 processing fee for ALL cancellations.
- To ensure that classes and events can go ahead as planned, members must cancel a class or event no later than 3 days prior to the start/event date to be eligible for refunds. No refunds are given after this deadline.
- To be eligible for a refund of tours, cancellation requests must be received 7 days prior to the tour. No refunds are given after this deadline.
- If Brock House needs to cancel a course/event/tour due to low attendance, a full refund will be provided.
