About this event
Presented by the UBC team at the Centre for Research on Personhood in Dementia
The Memory Collective is a year-long project led by Brock House Society and UBC community researchers. This initiative aims to support Brock House Society’s membership in knowledge around the common misconceptions about dementia, dementia-related stigma, and dementia-inclusive practices. The goal is to enable existing programs to be dementia-inclusive spaces and to create dementia-specific programs including a bi-weekly Memory Collective Cafe.
The Memory Collective Presentation is a launch event that will mark the beginning of the partnership between UBC researchers and Brock House Society and will feature presentations about previous and ongoing dementia-inclusive community initiatives, facts and common misconceptions about dementia, as well as offer time for facilitated group discussions where we can set goals and priorities together.
Please join us for this exciting launch and celebration!
