A Primer on Probate in BC

About this event

Presenter: Susan Apperley, estate planning lawyer

If you’ve wondered what actually happens after someone dies—beyond the personal loss—this session will give you the answers. Susan Apperley, estate planning lawyer, will explain the probate process, the legal steps an executor or trustee must take for the BC Supreme Court to formally appoint them as an estate’s personal representative. You’ll also learn why having a valid will is one of the greatest gifts you can leave behind.
