Friday Movie - Persepolis

About this event

Based on the memoirs of Marjane Satrapi, who was a child living in Tehran in 1978 when the Shah was deposed and the Ayatollah's regime took hold. As Marji grows up, she witnesses first hand how the new Iran, now ruled by Islamic fundamentalists, becomes a repressive tyranny. Winner of the Award for Most Popular International Film at the 2007 Vancouver International Film Festival. (2007, 1h 35m, US, France)
