Sarah Rodgers is the Artistic Director of United Players and a busy freelance director.  Sarah graduated from the University of British Columbia with a BFA (Acting) and an MFA (Directing).  Sarah works across Canada and the United States. Directing Highlights: The Lion, the Witch and The Wardrobe (Pacific Theatre); Always Patsy Cline (Theatre North West); Gaslight (Chemainus Theatre Festival); The Little Mermaid (The Opera House Theatre in Wilmington, NC); Elf (Persephone Theatre); The Audience (Arts Club Stanley Alliance Stage); A Christmas in Wales (United Players).

Sarah has extensively toured  throughout the United States and Japan in Axis Theatre's The Number 14.  Sarah has been awarded several Jessie Richardson Theatre Awards and Music Theatre Ovation Awards. Sarah is also a film/tv actress and has appeared in Riverdale (Netflix) and Woke (Hulu) and several Hallmark movies. Sarah lives in Vancouver with her husband and daughter.

United Players is in its 65th year located in the heart of Jericho Beach. United Players programs five shows a year.  This year the beautiful Christmas classic: It's a Wonderful LIfe: On the Air by Peter Church is being presented. This piece is set in a Radio Studio in the 1940's.  The audience gets a first hand peek at a group of actors singing jingles, dancing the charleston and performing It's a Wonderful Life as it would have been in the 1940's - including the foley/sound engineer creating all the sounds and magic for the show.  It's a joyous, magical and witty production.  A beautiful show for the Christmas holidays.
