Let’s discover the ancient, magical world of natural colour on fabric! We will learn basic techniques to dye fabric with natural colours. Some dye plants may even already be growing in your garden! We will explore the preparation of natural fabrics, mordants and modifiers, immersion dyeing, painting with mordants, simple shibori (tie and clamp resists), combining different plants to make more colours, and enjoy a basic indigo vat together.
