No Bistro lunch on Thursday Sep 26
The Bistro service hours will be limited on Thursday, Sep 26 due to the Truth and Reconciliation Luncheon. Coffee and sweets will be available from 9 to 10:30 am, but no lunch, sandwiches, or soup will be served.
Call for Volunteers
Computer Drop-In
If you’re a skilled user of computers, iPhone or Android devices, the BHS computer drop-in convenors need more help. They’re looking for regular volunteers to answer members’ questions about their devices and device updates.
Mondays, 1 to 3 pm. Computer room. Drop-in. No registration required.
BHS Holiday Craft Store
We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help sell the beautiful handmade products created by our talented knitters and needle crafters. Brock House Orchestra needs players

The BH Orchestra is looking for new members, and players of all orchestral instruments are welcome.
It’s a fantastic opportunity to refine your skills, enjoy the camaraderie of fellow musicians, and contribute to beautiful performances. Rehearsals are led by a professional conductor.

Venetian Painting From Renaissance to Rococo
Don’t miss this series of six lectures about the art of master painters of Venice. We will explore the works of Bellini, Giorgio and Vittore Carpaccio, Tintoretto, Veronese, Lotto, Carreira, and Tiepolo. Presented by art historian and artist Justin Newell. For art enthusiasts of all levels. No previous knowledge required.
Six Fridays starting Sept 27, 10 am to noon. Members $135, non-members $155.

Our Sing-Along group will start on Monday October 7. There will be no Sing-Along until then.

Last week to register for National Truth and Reconciliation Day Luncheon
Join us for a traditional luncheon highlighting Indigenous cuisine as part of our important National Day of Truth and Reconciliation event. The keynote speaker will be Debra Sparrow (θəliχʷəlʷət), a Musqueam weaver, artist, and knowledge keeper.
Thursday, Sep 26, noon to 2 pm, in the tent. Registration is required. Members $30, non-members $35.
Sunset Social: the last one of the summer
Celebrate the end of summer with a glass of wine or beer outside in the Brock House tent. Chat with friends old and new. Watch the sunset over the ocean. Get up on the dance floor. Nobody cares how well you dance or whether you have a partner. Best of all, we’ll be featuring the jazz, swing and blues music of The Dog Ears, that Brock House favourite.

National Seniors Day Variety Showcase
Brock House Society is joining other community-based seniors groups to celebrate National Seniors Day. Enjoy music, comedy, crafts, and socializing. Entertainment for seniors, by seniors.
Tuesday, Oct 1, 1 to 4 pm. Roundhouse Community Centre.
