Volunteers Needed
The Bistro volunteer team urgently needs assistance on Wednesdays, especially on-call help when regular volunteers are absent. If you’d like to contribute some time, please contact Anapaula at anapaula@bhsociety.ca. We’ll provide the training you need.
Chef Najia will be away

We wanted to let you know that during the four weeks between August 27 and September 23, the Bistro will not be offering full meals. However, you can still enjoy our delicious baked goods, freshly made sandwiches, and hot soups. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Thank you for your support.

Raise-the-Stage Live Theatre Outings
Our new theatre-going group is already off to a fantastic start. And no wonder: it’s a great chance to take in some of Vancouver’s best live theatre and a great chance to socialize before the show, after the show, or during intermission. We’ve already had lots of eager members signing up for our first offering, “Chickens,” but there are still a few spots left!

|
Chickens is a live musical comedy on stage at the Jericho Arts Centre. It’s about Liza, who’s trying to keep the family farm afloat, while her husband Pal throws himself into raising exotic chickens. Meanwhile, in the chicken coop, two roosters and two hens deal with the pressures of egg fertilization, poultry fairs, and the question of flying.)

To sign up, email Jennifer Petersen at jennia2000@yahoo.com, and please include your full name in the email.
Saturday, Sept 14, at 2 pm. Jericho Arts Centre (JAC). $30. Pay JAC box office directly, informing them that you are a Brock House member.
