Volunteer help wanted

Kitchen

Have you noticed those delicious aromas that greet you when you walk into Brock House? They’re wafting from the BHS kitchen, where volunteers are helping Chef Najia prepare food for the Bistro–and having a great time, judging by the bursts of laughter you often hear. These devoted volunteers would love to have your help. Come join the friendly team! Shifts are available Mon, Tues, and Thurs, 8:30 to 11:30 am.

Contact Joanna Walentowicz at 604-803-5660 or joanna2662@gmail.com.

Frozen Meals

Starting July, our delectable and convenient frozen meals are priced at $12

Activities Update

Jewelry Crafters

We create jewelry for our own personal use and to sell at the Fairs. Currently we’re doing beadwork and wire wrapping, but the possibilities ahead are endless.

We have formed two sub-groups: Active members, who work together in the Art Room, and Satellite members, who can make jewelry at home. We have room for eight more Active members (up to a maximum of 15), and can take an unlimited number of Satellite members. For more information, email reception@brockhousesociety with “Jewelry Crafters” in the Subject Line. Or drop in to the Art Room any Tuesday morning from 9:30 to noon and check us out.

If you have jewelry supplies to donate, please leave them in the office with a “Crafters” label.

BH Gardeners

What does the Gardeners Group do? Think FOGEES: Fairs, Outings, Gardens, Education, Enjoyable Socials. If you have questions or would like to join us, contact Susan Lamb at bhsgardeners@gmail.com.
