This newest group first gathered in April ‘24 and set straight to work crafting bracelets. Two experienced members took the lead. Participants have the freedom to create items for personal use or for sale at the Fairs. BH members have donated beads, broken jewelry for repurposing, and supplies. So far, the group has focused on beadwork and wire wrapping. A metalsmith recently gave a talk, sparking interest in creating metal jewelry, which the group plans to pursue with her guidance. The possible branches of jewelry crafting are vast, and members are encouraged to discover their preferred techniques. Presently, the maximum number of active participants being accepted is 15 due to space limitations. However, the internet offers a remarkable quantity of instruction about jewelry crafting. There is no limit on the number of participants who wish to work at home, using BH supplies, to make items for the Fairs. The Jewelry Crafters will now have a presence at all Fairs, as they work together to support the Society.
