Week 1  -Country music is not—and never was—one style of music. It has always been a mixture of many styles.

Week 2
- During the 1930s a number of “singing cowboy” film stars, took country music into a synthetic and adventitious “western” music.

Week 3 - Country music began to incorporate a blend of Western swing, honky tonk and country boogie.

Week 4 - A "New Nashville Sound emerges", blending rockabilly and more traditional styles and female singers come into their own as star performers.

Week 5 - We see a blending of folk, country, rock and pop as the “New Nashville sound” gains a larger audiences and more new artists appear.

Week 6 - New artists like Kacey Musgraves, Taylor Swift, Sam Hunt and Maren Morris have brought Millenials to the great world of Country Music.
