Scottish Gaelic is considered to be the founding language of Scotland, and it is one of that country's official languages.  It is spoken throughout Scotland, in parts of Nova Scotia, and in an on-line community.   Gaelic is enjoying a resurgence in recent decades, with increasing numbers of people taking an interest in the language and in its rich cultural heritage.  This program is designed for learners who are new to Gaelic.   We will focus on conversational skills for everyday situations -- listening and speaking -- and on some basic aspects of grammar.
